I obtained a BSc in Physics and Cognitive Science from University College Roosevelt and a MSc in Neurophysics and in Cognitive Neuroscience from Radboud University. In my research, I aim to understand how neural systems work through mathematical analyses and computational models. For my MSc thesis, I investigated the relationship between tuning curve heterogeneity, dimensionality, and neural coding. During my studies, I have also worked on biologically realistic spiking neural networks to model the balance of excitation and inhibition in human neuronal cultures.

Since September 2026, I am a PhD student in the Biophysics of Neural Computation lab of Dr. Fleur Zeldenrust where I develop computational models of learning and memory consolidation in the cortex (and hippocampus). I do this in close collaboration with experimentalists in the Genzel lab and Dr. Federico Stella.
